摘要

Armed with an array of mechanics from the world of the electrical engineer, we commence our Tour to examine the ways these methods play in the phenomena we see in contemporary astronomy. Starting with the formation of stars, we cover a range of stellar objects before returning to the Sun.? Scaling down, we examine the dynamics of planetary atmospheres before looking at their geology; also that of asteroids and comets. Finally we explore the morphology of galaxies and the macro Universe and consider the ways these theories can be put to practical use to solve some of the longstanding mysteries of astronomy.The views in this Talk represent a departure from the 'Standard Model' of the Universe but recognise the aspiration to re-position astronomy on a more empirical and pragmatic footing. Most of the objects we see in Space have direct counterparts in the laboratory, common processes in industry and even the domestic kitchen.

Paul Malone BA(Hons) Reading University, MFA(RCA) Royal College of Art

Paul Malone is an artist based at the APT Studios in Deptford, London. His artwork is informed by research into lost and forgotten theories of Natural Philosophy. The concept of electro-dynamics in Space has been of longstanding interest and has branched out into theories of the constitution and dynamics of matter from the photonic field. Historically this covers the period from Leibnitz to Walther Ritz but also contemporary interpretations and implications. He has been presenting this Talk since 2008 in commercial and academic institutions and also everyday venues.
